Are you a bride who has dreamt of your wedding dress your whole life but can’t find it in a store?  Or maybe you have found a vintage dress that you want to make modern for your wedding day? Perhaps you’re a bride who refuses to wear a gown someone else might have? If any of these describe you, than local designer Janice Martin is your solution.

Janice Martin of Janice Martin Couture is a local Philly designer, and she has been creating beautiful one of kind wedding dresses for 25 years. She works with brides to design the dress of their dreams to fit their personalities and styles. Whether you desire a fashion forward look or a vintage throw back style, Janice can do it all! To get the process started, Janice meets with the bride. Upon this first meeting Janice discusses the bride’s vision including fabric, budget, and style. She may even start creating the first pattern on this first or second meeting! Since no dress is the same, each gown is individually priced based on the style and fabrics you choose.

If having a gorgeous and original wedding gown wasn’t reason enough, there is more. According to Janice, the benefits of a couture gown versus off the rack include being lightweight, and more comfortable to wear. They also hold up better through travel, and are more easily adjusted to size changes. Through all of this, it is easy to see the passion that Janice has in her designs. Her enthusiasm shines through in the delicate trimmings and details she puts into her work.

Having a gown custom made from Janice allows for a superior fit with a silhouette that will flatter your figure. The designer’s gowns are luxurious and breathtaking! She has even used beaded lace from the same company that made the fabric for Kate Middleton’s dress!! If that doesn’t convince you I don’t know what will! Check out some of Janice’s inspiring couture gowns below!

Bride Julie envisioned a Grace Kelly inspired dress for her special day. She knew Janice Martin was the go to designer, especially since Janice had worked on Grace Kelly’s veil when it was at the Philadelphia Art Museum. Julie’s dress turned out to be a stunning rendition of the gown!
